Dating as a Service
I started where ambitious women in tech start: computer science, machine learning, a software engineering role in big tech, the kind of career trajectory that looks inevitable in retrospect and felt, at the time, like a series of increasingly interesting bets.
I left to build my own company. I'm still building it. The hours are long, the ambition is longer, and somewhere between pitch decks and production deploys, I noticed something: I don't have time to date. Not the way I'd want to, which is to say — attentively, and with someone worth the attention.
So I made it a service. Not because I need to, but because the alternative is not doing it at all, and I happen to be very good company.
Every hour I spend on a date is an hour I'm not spending on my personal goals, career goals, or the startup that keeps me up at night. Donating toward my aspirations as a founder is what makes the math work. In exchange, you get the rare thing dating apps can't offer: someone who is genuinely present, genuinely interesting, and not swiping through twelve other conversations while pretending to listen to yours.
